Business Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Gain a deep understanding of the organization's business and commercial objectives, and develop a network of contacts in targeted, potential customer organizations.
- Lead Generation: Research potential leads and obtain additional information on clients or on the needs of customer organizations, identifying commercial opportunities via industry readings, internet searches, analysts' reports, etc.
- Relationship Building: Build effective relationships with internal and external customers, and represent MMS as a trusted partner to others.
- Strategic Planning: Develop, present, and implement new strategies for qualifying new business, under guidance from a senior team member.
- Communication and Teamwork: Practice excellent internal and external customer service, communication, and teamwork, and support objectives and improvement efforts within the department and organizationally.
Requirements:
- College graduate in Business, Sales, or related degree program.
- 0-2 years experience in direct sales, business development, or similar field.
- Knowledge of scientific principles or concepts a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Hands-on experience with clinical trial and pharmaceutical development preferred.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work with others to clearly understand needs and solve problems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of CROs, and scientific and clinical data/ terminology, and the drug development process.
- Learn to be proficient with Sales Applications: Dynamics 365 CRM, Zymewire, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, as applicable, and other sales tools, as applicable.
