Patient Support Coordinator

**Job Summary**
CommUnityCare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Support Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check in patients in a timely and professional manner.
- Process incoming calls and messages in accordance with office policies and procedures.
- Schedule appointments for patients, adhering to office protocols for access to care.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by providers or indicated on encounter forms.
- Obtain patient signatures on necessary waivers according to insurance requirements.
- Organize and monitor provider schedules to ensure timely patient flow.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and demographic information at each visit and update as necessary.
**Requirements:**
- High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
- Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
