Position Overview:
As a Commercial Carpenter at PJF Corp, you will be instrumental in the construction, installation, and repair of various structural and finished woodwork. Your craftsmanship will be vital in maintaining the quality and integrity of our projects, from the groundwork to the final touches. Key Responsibilities:

including, but not limited to:

  • Construct, install, and repair structural and finished woodwork, masonry, tile, furniture, fixtures, equipment, floors, ceiling systems, and roofs.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements accurately.
  • Install subfloors, partitions, studs, joists, drywall, rafters, and supports.
  • Install millwork, custom cabinetry, stairs, railings, trims, molding, and hardware.
  • Repair and install doors, frames, locks, hardware, and ADA signage.
  • Work with concrete in excavation, forming, laying, and finishing sidewalks, curbs, and slabs.
  • Perform light to moderate demolition, including the removal of damaged structural components.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete a variety of carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality project completion.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial codes and ADA requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, techniques, and building codes.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction regulations and performance standards.
  • Ability to operate various equipment, including hand tools and power tools.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 products and project management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle diverse challenges.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial carpentry experience
  • Experience in ground-up construction with various structural builds.

License/Certification:

  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Procore certification (or commitment to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • OSHA-30 certification (or commitment to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Work Environment: The work environment includes exposure to ongoing construction and various weather conditions during site visits. The noise level may range from moderate to loud.

Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, and lift materials up to 80 pounds. Candidates must be capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling as necessary. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential for managing project tasks effectively.

Compensation: $20 - $28 hourly wage
