Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlement and Medical Records Specialist to join our team at Harper Law Firm. As a key member of our personal injury litigation team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of case resolution, from gathering essential medical documentation to coordinating the final settlement, receiving payment, and negotiating medical bill reductions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete case settlement process, including obtaining and tracking releases and payments
  • Order and track medical records, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
  • Negotiate medical reductions and resolve liens, utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Prepare and verify settlement distribution ledgers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Coordinate with accounting for timely fund distribution and expense reimbursement, ensuring seamless financial management
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking systems for payouts and medical records, providing valuable insights for case management
  • Collaborate with the Client Concierge on post-settlement activities, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction
  • Conduct research on legal issues related to payouts and medical records, staying up-to-date on industry developments
  • Develop and maintain efficient organizational systems using Outlook, SharePoint, and Filevine, optimizing productivity and workflow
  • Submit regular KPI reports and projections to management, providing valuable insights for business growth
Requirements
  • Experience in a personal injury law firm in obtaining medical records, managing the settlement process, and negotiating liens and reductions
  • Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of data management and analysis
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex cases, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
