Job Summary

Quantum Pain and Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors, and provide them with necessary information
  • Assist patients with completing forms and documentation
  • Manage patient records and update information in our electronic medical record system
  • Coordinate appointments and schedules
  • Respond to phone calls and messages, and direct them to the appropriate staff member
  • Maintain patient accounts and update financial information
  • Collect and record patient charges
  • Keep patients and their families informed of their status
  • Remind patients of their appointments and schedule/reschedule as needed
  • Manage filing and record-keeping activities
  • Report statistics as required
  • Coordinate mail flow and maintain office supplies
  • Ensure the reception area is well-maintained and clean
  • Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or accidents
  • Communicate with peers and management regarding workplace hazards
  • Protect patient and family privacy rights and maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Adhere to company standards of business conduct
  • Support medical staff by completing administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in customer service
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette skills
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems
  • Excellent patient interaction skills
  • Ability to travel between facilities if necessary
