Position Overview: As a vital member of the Business Accounting Solutions team, you will independently manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. Your primary responsibilities will include the preparation of month-end financial statements, reconciliations, forecasts, budgets, and addressing client consulting requirements. You will report directly to the Principal overseeing client relationships, ensuring effective communication and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update asset registers.
  • Process journal entries for depreciation and amortization.
  • Allocate income and expenses accurately.
  • Create and manage Excel spreadsheets for expense allocations and journal entries.
  • Review and amend entries as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss statements, and General Ledger reports.
  • Identify and report potential bookkeeping issues to management.
  • Engage with clients to discuss their financial records and obtain any missing information.
  • Provide education to clients on accounting best practices.
  • Review and assess software files submitted by clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to assist with their accounting needs, support bookkeeping inquiries, and offer training on software usage.
  • Establish new client files with appropriate charts of accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable processes.
  • Oversee payroll preparation, including tax obligations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll documentation.
  • Assist with payroll audits and compliance.
  • Support training initiatives and documentation of internal processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or BA/BS Degree in Accounting.
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • Able to manage multiple client commitments effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
