Financial Reporting Specialist

Liberty Health System is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, maintaining financial reports and general ledger accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of the entries
* Maintain the financial reports and general ledger accounts while ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Research and correct account discrepancies
* Meet all monthly and ad-hoc reporting deadlines
* Assist with audits and other inquiries as needed

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance, with one or more years of experience preferred.
* Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel and other basic computer skills. Must possess accounting knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Must be detail-oriented and keep information accurate and organized.
* Highly ethical with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
