About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in protecting our networks and systems from advanced threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide full lifecycle support for Linux systems, including analysis, design, development, integration, testing, procurement, deployment, security, training, and sustainment.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, including Linux operating systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems, including Linux systems, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere is beneficial.
  • Ansible experience is preferred.
