Position Overview

At Envoy Inc., we are dedicated to developing a robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that aligns with our organizational objectives, leveraging DevOps methodologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to our business requirements, collaborating with application teams to deploy services in the cloud.
  • Oversee and optimize our Kubernetes infrastructure, focusing on resource management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer our AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform, including resource provisioning, automation of changes, and performance monitoring.
  • Work alongside fellow engineers to establish and promote Kubernetes best practices, creating tools and frameworks for application management.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address incidents, ensuring effective resolution and communication with stakeholders.
  • Contribute positively to our team environment, embodying our core value of collaboration and improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and management of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Circle CI.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architectures, software engineering principles, web technologies, SQL databases, and distributed systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Ruby, or Go, along with proficiency in bash scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and auditing.
  • Background in security engineering and vulnerability management.

Compensation Overview

Envoy's compensation package includes a competitive salary, equity for all full-time positions, and comprehensive benefits. For candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the expected cash compensation for this role ranges from $170K to $200K annually. Final offers may vary based on experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
