About the Position

At Envoy Inc., we are dedicated to developing a robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that aligns with our organizational objectives through the application of DevOps methodologies. We leverage advanced technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, and AWS Cloud to automate our infrastructure, enabling faster and more reliable application delivery. By implementing infrastructure as code, we maintain a consistent and up-to-date platform.

We are in search of outstanding engineers to enhance our expanding team.

This position is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in our headquarters.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to our business requirements, collaborating with application teams to deploy services in the cloud.
  • Oversee and optimize our Kubernetes infrastructure, focusing on resource utilization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage our AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including resource provisioning, automation of changes, and performance monitoring.
  • Work alongside fellow engineers to establish and implement best practices for Kubernetes, developing tools and frameworks for application management.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address incidents, ensuring effective resolution and communication with stakeholders.
  • Contribute positively to the team environment, embodying our core value of "Pitch In" by collaborating cross-functionally to tackle challenges and improve our processes.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Over five years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • At least three years of experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Circle CI, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architectures, software engineering, web technologies, SQL databases, and distributed systems.
  • Skilled in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go, along with shell scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and auditing.
  • Background in security engineering and vulnerability management.

Compensation Overview

Envoy's compensation package includes a competitive salary, equity for all full-time positions, and excellent benefits. For candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the expected cash compensation for this role ranges from $170K to $200K annually. Final offers may vary based on experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
