ROLE OVERVIEW
As a key player at Bright Machines, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the systems that enable Software Defined Manufacturing. Our intelligent and cloud-connected automation solutions are deployed in factories to streamline the assembly of essential components for modern AI-driven manufacturing, supporting operations for leading industry players.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with R&D, Software Engineering, and IT teams to design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for our mission-critical applications and services. Your expertise will be vital in architecting, developing, and managing our cloud infrastructure across multiple service providers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure Design:
- Lead the architecture and implementation of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud and hybrid infrastructures utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Work closely with application teams to establish cloud architecture, strategies, and best practices.
- Infrastructure as Code Development:
- Create and maintain IaC templates using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled, automated, and aligned with DevOps methodologies.
- Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and updates.
- Security and Compliance Management:
- Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with security best practices and relevant regulations.
- Implement security controls, monitoring, and logging to safeguard cloud resources.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Performance and Scalability Optimization:
- Design and execute strategies for scalability, performance enhancement, and cost management.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary improvements.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Over 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure for mission-critical SaaS applications.
- Expertise in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications.
- Experience with machine learning-based applications.
