Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to our business requirements, collaborating with application teams to deploy services effectively.
  • Oversee and optimize our Kubernetes infrastructure, focusing on resource utilization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage our AWS infrastructure through Terraform, ensuring efficient provisioning, automation of changes, and performance monitoring.
  • Work alongside fellow engineers to establish and enforce Kubernetes best practices, developing tools and frameworks for application management.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address incidents, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, embodying our core value of 'Pitch In' by engaging cross-functionally to tackle challenges and improve processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and management of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Circle CI.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architectures, software engineering principles, web technologies, SQL databases, and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go, along with proficiency in bash scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and audit processes.
  • Background in security engineering and vulnerability management.

Compensation Overview

Envoy's compensation package includes a competitive salary, equity for all full-time positions, and comprehensive benefits. For candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the anticipated cash compensation for this role ranges from $170K to $200K annually. Final offers may vary within this range based on individual experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
