Position Overview:
The Certified HVAC Technician is tasked with the installation, upkeep, calibration, and repair of HVAC systems within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret blueprints and manufacturer specifications, along with verbal and written instructions for HVAC maintenance and repairs.
  2. Maintain awareness of the critical applications of the HVAC systems in operation.
  3. Conduct preventive maintenance on air conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure optimal temperature and humidity levels.
  4. Perform troubleshooting, inspections, calibrations, adjustments, lubrication, and repairs or replacements of components as necessary.
  5. Keep accurate records to comply with local, state, federal, and accrediting organization regulations.
  6. Promote a culture of safety and quality in all operations.
  7. Manage equipment inventory, submit requisitions, and liaise with vendors and contractors as needed.
  8. Operate and maintain various HVAC systems and equipment, including but not limited to AHUs, fan coil units, split systems, humidifiers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, DX units, and Liebert units.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical training in air conditioning systems or equivalent HVAC certification from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems in a commercial environment.
  • Universal certification for refrigerant recovery (EPA).
Preferred:
  • No additional qualifications required.
