Position Overview:

The HVAC Technician plays a crucial role in the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This position is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems, thereby creating a comfortable indoor environment in commercial and industrial spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance: Carry out the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning systems, and ventilation components. This includes working with electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.

Troubleshooting: Utilize appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve HVAC system issues. Analyze faults, malfunctions, or performance discrepancies and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions.

Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and longevity. This involves cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components, changing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical connections.

Testing and Calibration: Perform tests and measurements to evaluate system performance, efficiency, and safety. Adjust controls, thermostats, and other components as necessary to guarantee reliable operation.

Compliance and Safety: Follow safety protocols, building codes, and regulations pertinent to HVAC systems. Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance comply with industry standards.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including maintenance tasks, repairs, parts utilized, and inspections. Provide reports on system performance and issues to supervisors or clients as required.
