HVAC Systems Technician at Talent Corps

Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Chief Plant Operator, the HVAC Systems Technician is tasked with managing heating and ventilation apparatus, including fans, vacuum pumps, air compressors, ducts, and lubrication systems.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-4:30pm, with a compensation rate of $24 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modifies valves to control the temperature of lubrication fluids and water circulation
  • Regulates fan speeds and adjusts air ducts and vents
  • Documents gauge readings, maintenance activities, and equipment downtime
  • Conducts inspections and performs minor repairs
  • Prepares repair work orders and labels for machinery
  • Diagnoses equipment problems and communicates findings to the Chief Plant Operator
  • Cleans fans, ducts, and vents to remove build-up and contaminants
  • Repairs or replaces pumps, seals, and bearings as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Consistent attendance, punctuality, and compliance with the work schedule
  • Completion of all mandatory training sessions
  • Works under the guidance of the Chief Plant Operator

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of boiler or air conditioning systems
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background checks

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of steam and hot water heating systems, as well as commercial air conditioning
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with office software and enterprise management systems
