Job Summary

As a Store Leader at Madewell, you will be responsible for supporting a profitable business by creating genuine connections with customers, fostering customer loyalty, and driving sales. You will work closely with the leadership team to make adjustments and drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Be the role model for creating personalized connections with customers that drive loyalty and excitement for the brand.
    • Observe sales team performance and assist in making connections or sales.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead fit sessions to enhance product knowledge and fuel a style obsession.
    • Help sales team members make the most of each customer interaction by sharing specific actions to improve outcomes.
  • Store Operations
    • Ensure the sales team is always on track to meet sales goals and exceed customer expectations.
    • Own the sales floor and ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Community Engagement
    • Plan and execute local events that tie to the community and fuel incremental traffic and sales.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 2 or more years of experience in a similar role, preferably in specialty retail.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Love for the brand, customers, and teams.
    • Great fashion aesthetic and knowledge of industry trends.
    • Ability to set and achieve goals.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
