About the Position

HASC Center is a leading provider of support services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Professional to join our team at our Brooklyn residence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering, toileting, grooming, laundry, and housekeeping.
  • Assist individuals with developing independence and life skills, such as budgeting, shopping, and cooking.
  • Document outcomes and observations using a computer documentation program.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and city regulations regarding service provision and documentation.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; some college is a plus.
  • Work or life experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Basic written and verbal communication.
  • Basic Computer knowledge.
