Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Institute for Comm Living. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in our residential programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and services to residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, toileting, and meal preparation.
  • Encourage residents to participate in recreational activities, games, and daily living skills development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the health and safety of residents.
  • Administer medication, as instructed, and respond to emergency situations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.
