Job Summary:

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is seeking a highly skilled Audit and Compliance Officer to join their team. This role is responsible for administering the Office of Lottery and Gaming's (OLG) regulatory compliance programs, managing the compliance and audit staff, and establishing, reviewing, and maintaining auditing and compliance programs for the District of Columbia's sports wagering industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and make recommendations to the OLG's executive staff regarding the approval of sports wagering operators' Internal Control Systems.
  • Provide the Director of Sports Wagering Regulation & Oversight and Executive Director the compliance statuses relating to OLG's regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and monitor the implementation of sports wagering operator's internal control policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop audit procedures for all relevant OLG departments.
  • Assist in the periodic review, update, and implementation of compliance programs.
  • Assign work, determine workflows, and review and evaluate subordinates' work performance.

Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as coordinating, planning, and conducting compliance and financial audits; developing and monitoring internal controls to identify risks and deficiencies; reviewing and analyzing audit findings for the purpose of implementing corrective actions.
  • Gaming and/or directing the work of lower-level staff.
  • Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license.
  • In addition, applicant must have a bachelor's degree earned at an accredited U.S. institution in accounting or related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.
