Position Overview:

The Land Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the Land Acquisitions and Development teams by managing the administrative aspects of the entitlement and development processes within the Land Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the executive leadership team with administrative tasks related to the land department.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain land contracts through scanning, filing, and tracking.
  • Deliver exceptional internal customer service to various stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors, including managing insurance and tax documentation.
  • Receive, categorize, and archive all departmental documents, both in hard copy and electronic formats, including those related to ongoing projects and properties under evaluation.
  • Maintain updated electronic budgets with contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Distribute vendor packages and ensure compliance before submission to accounting for approval.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure vendors are approved and set up for ACH payments.
  • Input land department invoices into development budgets, maintaining accuracy.
  • Enter existing and new contracts into the build pro system.
  • Organize and file all land department documentation, including invoices and proposals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting land acquisition, land development, or homebuilding is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and valid auto insurance are required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to take initiative and meet objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations.

Interactions:

This role involves daily communication with various division personnel, external agencies, business partners, consultants, and homeowners.
