Job Title: Senior Risk Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Assessor to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. As a Senior Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for leading project teams in the completion of human health and ecological risk assessments, providing technical leadership and guidance to less experienced staff members, and assisting clients in stakeholder management activities related to contaminant toxicology and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams in the completion of human health and ecological risk assessments consistent with federal and state standards.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
  • Assist clients in stakeholder management activities related to contaminant toxicology and risk assessment.
  • Project implementation, QA/QC, project scheduling, and budget management.
  • Some marketing responsibilities will be required, and regular meetings and correspondence with clients, agencies, subcontractors, or outside personnel will be necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Toxicology, Public Health, or a related life science discipline or related field from an accredited curriculum.
  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience in environmental risk assessment.
  • Strong vapor intrusion experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of and current knowledge of applicable CERCLA, RCRA, and state-led regulations and regulatory programs.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments on emerging contaminants is preferred.
  • Technical leadership and project management experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team framework.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to multi-task are also prerequisites.
Compensation:

The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000.00-170,000.00 Annually. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
