Key Responsibilities

Your essential duties will encompass:

  • Leveraging both internal and external resources to assess account risk quality and effectively communicate findings to underwriting colleagues.
  • Overseeing the scope and scale of loss prevention services provided to a portfolio of clients, ensuring alignment with client expectations and underwriting criteria.
  • Engaging directly with clients to enhance their property risk profiles.
  • Supporting the marketing and sales initiatives by promoting our brand and service offerings to potential clients and brokers, while maintaining strong industry relationships.
  • Actively participating in process improvements and special projects to enhance the operational environment at AXA XL.
  • Sharing your expertise to foster the knowledge and development of fellow team members.

You will report directly to the Regional Engineering Leader.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek candidates who possess:

  • Extensive experience in fire protection risk engineering.
  • Significant industry experience in property loss prevention or as an Account Consultant.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and FM data sheets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of key underwriting decision-making factors.
  • Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • The capability to synthesize large volumes of information and meet deadlines.
  • A solid grasp of the property insurance renewal process.
  • Familiarity with RMS modeling and its construction characteristics.
  • Understanding of IT systems functionality.
  • Effective time management and work techniques.
  • A degree in Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and/or Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection are preferred.
  • Candidates should ideally be located in the designated regions.
