About the Role:
The Senior Cybersecurity Risk Management Officer will be a key member of the Hispanic Technology Executive Council's (HTEC) Information Security team, responsible for partnering with leaders to balance the needs of the business while ensuring information security and organizational risks are appropriately identified and managed to drive uncompromising cyber security protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in-depth information security risk-based discussions to ensure a deep understanding of the business and its security posture.
- Act as an integrated business partner with cross-functional leaders to provide blended security and business expertise to ensure appropriate management of information security risks.
- Develop and implement information security risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize information security risks, and develop mitigation plans to address these risks.
- Provide guidance and support to business leaders on information security best practices and risk management strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and provide recommendations to the HTEC leadership on how to stay ahead of these threats.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and security vendors.
- Participate in incident response and crisis management efforts to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with a strong background in risk management and compliance.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of managing complex security programs.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and standards, including NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and strategically, with a strong focus on risk management and mitigation.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security data and identify trends and patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification.
- Experience with cloud security, including AWS and Azure.
- Experience with container security, including Docker and Kubernetes.
