Position Overview:

The Clinical Nursing Coordinator, a licensed Registered Nurse, works in partnership with the Nurse Director to strategize, organize, and execute staff onboarding and educational initiatives.

This position enhances workforce efficiency by delivering training and orientation, acting as a mentor and resource for clinical matters, performing quality assurance, participating in process enhancement efforts, and contributing to the formulation of policies and protocols.

The Clinical Nursing Coordinator promotes constructive relationships and morale among staff.

This role requires exceptional communication, customer service, time management, and patient care competencies, while upholding a superior level of clinical knowledge, expertise, and leadership skills.

During peak periods, the Clinical Nursing Coordinator supports staff with both direct and indirect patient care, ensuring that all responsibilities align with the mission, values, and customer service standards of St. Mary's Health Care System Inc.


Position Qualifications:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Must possess a degree from an accredited Nursing Program and hold a current, valid Georgia nursing license in good standing.


B. Education:

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Specialty certification is also preferred. An Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing may be acceptable with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.


C. Experience:

A minimum of three years of experience in the relevant specialty area is required, demonstrating excellent clinical knowledge and skills.


D. Special Qualifications:

A proven track record of high-level proficiency in nursing practice with a specific patient demographic is essential. Candidates must be collaborative team players and effective communicators, capable of excelling in patient care assessment, planning, and evaluation.

A history of positive interactions with physicians and staff at all levels, serving as a role model for customer satisfaction, and a commitment to the mission of St. Mary's Health Care System Inc. are required. Exceptional critical thinking abilities and a consistently professional demeanor in behavior and appearance are also necessary.


Demonstrate:

Potential for management or experience in mid-level management with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Candidates must exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to operate independently following the completion of orientation.
