Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and propriety of all financial data and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to support overall department goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software.
  • Experience in the technology industry is a plus.
