Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify patient information, including demographic and insurance details
- Register patients for service delivery, ensuring accurate and timely completion of registration processes
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of patient registration processes
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 1 year of recent relevant experience in patient access, financial counseling, or a related field
- General knowledge of patient access, financial counseling, and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, including EMTALA and Consent Laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
This is a per diem/casual position, working variable shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. The salary range for this role is $33.02 to $41.26 per hour, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
