Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Tax Analyst is tasked with a variety of tax-related functions that are crucial for the completion of the company's corporate tax filings. This role also involves the formulation and execution of tax planning initiatives, as well as aiding in the calculation of the company's tax provision in accordance with ASC740 (formerly FAS 109).

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of corporate income tax principles and actively seeking to enhance tax knowledge through practical assignments and staying updated on current tax developments.
  • Assisting in the collection of information necessary for the preparation of various tax compliance documents, including federal and state income and franchise tax returns and audits.
  • Supporting the Senior Manager, Corporate Tax in executing various corporate income tax return projects.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to gather essential information (such as trial balances, fixed asset reports, and compensation schedules) to prepare quarterly tax provisions, estimated tax payments, and federal and state tax returns and extensions.
  • Helping in the documentation and analysis of book-tax differences for tax provision and return reporting.
  • Contributing to the compilation of ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109) reporting workpapers.
  • Conducting research, quantifying, and documenting tax positions and strategies.
  • Building and maintaining long-term working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
  • Sharing knowledge to foster professional development and enhance service delivery.
  • Facilitating communication and providing support to team members.
  • Utilizing technology to continuously improve productivity.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Master's in Taxation or pursuing such a degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Corporate Income Tax.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent eligibility is preferred.
  • Familiarity with tax research software (BNA) is advantageous.
  • Experience with JD Edwards and OneStream applications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision software is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
