Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Tax Analyst is tasked with a variety of tax-related duties that include the preparation of the corporate tax return. This role also involves the formulation and execution of tax planning strategies, along with assisting in the calculation of the company’s tax provision in accordance with ASC740.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of corporate income tax principles while actively enhancing tax knowledge through assignments and staying updated on current tax developments.
- Assisting in the collection of information necessary for the completion of various tax compliance tasks, including federal and state income and franchise tax returns and audits.
- Supporting the Senior Manager, Corporate Tax in executing various corporate income tax return initiatives.
- Collaborating with the finance team to gather essential information (such as trial balances, fixed asset reports, and compensation schedules) for preparing quarterly tax provisions, estimated tax payments, and federal and state tax returns and extensions.
- Helping in the documentation and gathering of book-tax differences utilized in tax provision and return reporting.
- Contributing to the compilation of ASC 740 reporting workpapers.
- Conducting research, quantifying, and documenting tax positions and strategies.
- Building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with internal clients and colleagues.
- Sharing knowledge to foster professional growth and improve service delivery.
- Facilitating communication and providing support to team members.
- Utilizing technology to enhance productivity continuously.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Master's in Taxation or in progress is a plus.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Corporate Income Tax.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent eligibility is preferred.
- Familiarity with tax research software (BNA) is advantageous.
- Experience with JD Edwards and OneStream applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
