Human Resources (HR) Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering quality work. The HR Assistant serves as a crucial link between the management and employees, handling various responsibilities across key areas such as recruitment, onboarding, compliance with employment laws, and addressing HR-related concerns promptly.
The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong leadership qualities, earning the trust and respect of colleagues while upholding a standard of integrity. This role requires effective collaboration with all levels of management and staff.
The HR Assistant will provide expertise in labor relations, recruitment, and training initiatives. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with professional phone etiquette. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism is essential. This position is suited for a proactive thinker who enjoys problem-solving and contributing to a cohesive team. Previous experience in human resources is a prerequisite for consideration. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Department with candidate coordination, reference checks, and the onboarding process for new hires.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Exhibit leadership capabilities with strong mentoring skills.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and organizational proficiency.
- Meet all deadlines efficiently.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and oral communication.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Uphold ethical conduct and professionalism.
- Utilize conflict resolution skills effectively.
- Manage stress and difficult situations with a high degree of professionalism.
- Exhibit multitasking and time-management skills, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with management, employees, and the public.
- Stay updated on technological advancements, laws, and regulations relevant to the role.
- Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or two to five years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in HR.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in recruitment is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and a clean criminal record are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
