Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payment Processing Specialist to join our team at Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and experience with practice management software.

Key Responsibilities
* Posting payments received from patients and insurance companies.
* Reconciling Explanation of Benefits (EOB) with Medical Policies and contracted rates.
* Reporting insurance denials and discrepancies to Billing team for appeals.
* Reconciling bank deposits with Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA) and EOB's.
* Applying previously unapplied monies to new charges.
* Processing daily office visit charges.
* Running collections reports and working with Billing Manager to resolve open accounts.
* Calling patients to collect past due balances.
* Creating and maintaining patient payment plans.
* Opening and distributing daily mail.
* Responding to requests from insurance companies as needed.
* Scanning documents as needed.
* Assisting the Business Office as needed.

Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Associate's degree or higher in Health Care Administration, Health Care Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in medical payment posting required.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year depending on experience.
