Job Title: Medical Payment Clerk

Overview
Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine is seeking a highly skilled Medical Payment Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing patient and insurance payments.

Responsibilities
* Post all payment received from patients and insurance companies in practice management software.
* Review and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOB) with Medical Policies and contracted rates.
* Report insurance denials and discrepancies to Billing team for appeals.
* Reconcile bank deposits with Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA) and EOB's.
* Apply previously unapplied monies to new charges.
* Process daily office visit charges.
* Run collections reports and work with Billing Manager to resolve open accounts.
* Call patients to collect past due balances.
* Create and maintain patient payment plans.
* Opening and distributing daily mail.
* Respond to requests from insurance companies as needed.
* Scanning documents as needed.
* Assisting the Business Office as needed.

Requirements
* A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* An associate's degree or higher in Health Care Administration, Health Care Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting is preferred.
* Must have 2+ years in medical payment posting experience.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year depending on experience.
