About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Specialist to join our team. As a Chemical Process Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the correct chemical balance or material mixture needed to support proper equipment operation, product quality, or other chemical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts chemical process tests, taking and measuring samples at specified intervals and stages.
  • Manages, mixes, and stores all compounds and chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Safely maintains and stores all relevant tools, instruments, measuring devices, and equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Trains line operators on specific guidelines, procedures, and safety precautions that must be adhered to.
  • Adheres to applicable EPA regulations for proper labeling and disposal of chemical compounds and waste.
  • Maintains all records related to processes and chemicals used, including safety data sheets (SDS) and equipment operation logs.
  • Works with external labs for routine chemical analysis, prepares samples, labels, packages, and ships them, reviews, logs, and responds to results as necessary.
  • Identifies and reports problems and/or accidents to supervising Chemical Engineer.
  • Performs minor repairs and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a chemical laboratory setting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.

Salary and Benefits

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Aerotek offers weekly pay, employee benefits including medical, dental & vision, life insurance, health advocacy, and employee assistance programs, a 401(k) plan, and employee discounts.
