Role: Academic Rheumatology

The University of Missouri School of Medicine, specifically within the Division of Rheumatology, presents a remarkable opportunity for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to fill the role of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Faculty members in this division play a crucial role in enhancing and expanding clinical services as well as educational activities for medical students, residents, and rheumatology fellows.

Our university clinic is actively engaged in treating patients with a diverse range of rheumatic conditions, alongside clinics at the local VA hospital. Additional outreach clinics are also available within a reasonable distance. The division is supported by three rheumatology fellows and a skilled Nurse Practitioner. Collaborative opportunities exist with Pulmonary Medicine and Nephrology, including a monthly joint clinic with Dermatology.

New faculty members will have the chance to establish Rheumatology-Pulmonary and Rheumatology-Ophthalmology clinics, as well as to develop a curriculum for musculoskeletal ultrasound, with funding available for courses and new equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Experience is considered for board-certified/board-eligible applicants
