We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Deputy Court Clerk/Criminal Front Counter Specialist to join our team at Ada County, ID. Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Assist the public with court-related documents, provide information on court procedures, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Document Processing: File paper documents, collect fees and fines, and process out-of-court cases in a timely and accurate manner.
- Administrative Support: Operate office equipment, create legal forms and reports, and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Communication: Explain policies and procedures to the public, attorneys, and other officials, and respond to correspondence in a clear and concise manner.
- Financial Management: Balance receipts and cash, and handle database management for specific areas of law.
- Calendar Management: Set hearing dates and maintain calendars for court proceedings.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle confidential documents with care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer operations, ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a court or government setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with legal procedures, documents, and terminology is preferred.
This is a full-time position working in an office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
