Law Enforcement Victim Witness Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Law Enforcement Victim Witness Coordinator to join our team at Ada County, ID. As a key member of our Sheriff's Office, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other vulnerable victim crimes.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide assistance to victims and witnesses, including crisis intervention, transportation, and referrals to social services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other law enforcement and criminal justice agencies to ensure effective program operations.
- Provide educational presentations to law enforcement, schools, and community organizations on victim support and services.
- Respond to hospitals, homes, and crime scenes to assist detectives and deputies with victims and witnesses.
- Maintain statistical data and administer the policy of the Prosecuting Attorney to ensure the smooth functioning of the Victim-Witness Assistance Program.
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in victim advocacy and/or law enforcement.
- Knowledge of the objectives of victim-witness programs and the processes involved in the Criminal Justice System.
- Ability to work within the court system, social work values, and ethical standards.
