Job Summary:

The Idaho Division of Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of ICAC Investigator in the Criminal Law Division. As a sworn law enforcement officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for investigating cases involving technology-facilitated crimes against children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing CyberTips received from electronic service providers
  • Drafting and executing search warrants
  • Conducting interviews and preparing reports
  • Maintaining investigative case files and testifying in court
  • Working closely with other agencies as part of the Idaho ICAC Task Force

Requirements:

  • Current Idaho POST Certification of Intermediate level or higher
  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of law enforcement experience
  • Above-average communication and interpersonal skills
  • A thorough understanding of laws, policies, and rules of evidence applicable to Idaho law enforcement service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience investigating ICAC cases
  • Familiarity with and up-to-date knowledge of technology, especially in technology-related investigations
