Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Facilities Management: Provide strategic leadership and management of Wu Yee's facilities operations, ensuring that all facilities meet the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental sustainability.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Wu Yee's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations, to ensure that they are well-resourced, compliant with licensing regulations, and operating at the highest standards of professional appearance and quality.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and implementation of new development projects, including design, construction, and project management, to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving to achieve Wu Yee's goals and objectives.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the development and management of facility budgets, including forecasting, financial planning, and cost control, to ensure that Wu Yee's financial resources are used effectively and efficiently.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all Wu Yee facilities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including California State Child Care licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, State Fire Marshal requirements, and state and local fire codes.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support a team of facilities staff, including maintenance personnel, to ensure that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of Wu Yee's facilities operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, including experience in project management, budgeting, and staff supervision.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, practices, and regulations, including California State Child Care licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, State Fire Marshal requirements, and state and local fire codes.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Certified Property Manager (CPM), is highly desirable.
