PrideStaff Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-known construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing all aspects of accounts payable functions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing by reviewing and reconciling AP accounts.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Review lien releases and scan NTO's
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Support the accounting team with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting is a plus, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience with Lien Release is a plus
- Proficiency with SAGE or any other accounting software
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
