Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, nurturing relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. You will also be required to build strong client relationships, communicate effectively, and negotiate deals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and customer service, with a strong understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to track and analyze large amounts of data.

This position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Our team works in a hybrid environment, with both in-office and remote work options available. Responsibilities
* Manage key client accounts, nurturing relationships and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies
* Build strong client relationships, communicating effectively and negotiating deals
* Develop an understanding of current business, industry, and supply chain needs
* Create effective solutions and innovative ideas to grow membership and reach never engaged companies and new potential strategic customers
* Act as the liaison between Corporate Member accounts and internal teams
* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
* Monitor personal monthly sales performance toward department revenue goals
* Develop a personal commitment to professional development in areas of customer relationship building, sales and account management, problem-solving, and other areas to ensure growth and success

Requirements
* Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role
* Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to track and analyze large amounts of data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships. Excellent active listening skills and ability to adapt sales pitch depending on what the lead is interested in.
* Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
* Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
* Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally
* Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
* Solid experience with CRM software (particularly with Salesforce), LMS and MS Office
* Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
* Ability to travel, as needed, up to 40%
