About Triangle, Inc:
Triangle, a forward-thinking non-profit organization, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Empowering People for Inclusive Communities (EPIC) initiative.

Program Mission:
The EPIC program, established in 2011, aims to equip young individuals with disabilities to become active leaders in their communities through educational opportunities, leadership training, and community service.

Role Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual passionate about empowering youth with disabilities to reach their full potential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting youth with personal care routines as necessary (e.g., toileting, eating).
  • Providing necessary accommodations to facilitate participation in EPIC activities.
  • Collaborating with EPIC staff to prepare for programming, ensuring the needs of all participants are met.
  • Supervising youth during workshops, volunteer events, and recreational activities.
  • Representing Triangle and EPIC to families, community organizations, and partners.
  • Guiding program participants in community service projects and other activities.
  • Ensuring that personal care assistance aligns with EPIC's self-advocacy model, promoting youth-led support.

Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties may include:

  • Maintaining proper care, inventory, and storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and implementation.
  • Participating in all required training sessions.
  • Addressing minor behavioral issues as they arise.
  • Engaging in team meetings and discussions.
  • Assisting in achieving programmatic objectives set by the EPIC Executive Director.
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
This position necessitates travel to various partner locations. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation and must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience in human services, particularly with youth with disabilities, is required. Experience in providing personal care assistance to individuals with disabilities is essential.
