Licensed Respiratory Care Specialist

Bear Mountain Health Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to support our established Ventilation Program. We offer competitive compensation, with rates reaching up to $50 per hour, along with shift differentials. Flexible scheduling options include both 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, available for Full Time, Part Time, or Per Diem positions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a valid Respiratory Care License in Massachusetts.
- Completion of the National Board of Respiratory Care examination (CRT or RRT) is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary focus on the care of patients requiring ventilatory support, collaborating closely with the Department Director or Nurse Practitioner to optimize ventilator settings and weaning protocols.
- Responsible for the scheduled and as-needed changing of tracheostomy tubes.
- Set up, apply, and administer a comprehensive range of respiratory care modalities, including ventilators, cough assist devices, and respiratory medications, as required.
- Review and implement physician's orders related to respiratory therapy.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred: 1 year of experience as an RRT.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience as a CRT.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; essential training will be provided.
Both Full and Part Time employees are eligible for benefits in accordance with company guidelines, while Per Diem therapists receive an additional $2 per hour.
