Shields Health Care Group is offering a remarkable opportunity for an MRI Technician Assistant. This role involves working every other weekend Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 6:30pm.     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.) Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and protocols to guarantee patient safety at all times.

    2.) Support the Technologist in preparing the examination room.

    - Arrange the appropriate coil for the examination.

    - Ensure clean linens are available.

    - Provide any necessary items to assist with patient setup.

    3.) Assist in the patient interview process.

    - Conduct safety checks.

    - Gather symptoms and medical history.

    - Verify any prior examinations.

    - Ensure the patient is appropriately attired for the examination.

    - Explain the procedure to the patient.

    - Offer reassurance to anxious patients.

    4.) Aid the technologist in positioning the patient for the examination.

    - Assist the patient onto the examination table.

    - Confirm that all safety devices are correctly positioned.

    - Help ensure the patient is comfortable.

    5.) Assist the technologist upon completion of the examination.

    - Safely remove the patient from the bore.

    - Take off all safety equipment.

    6.) Help the patient off the table and guide them to the changing area.

    7.) Ensure all documentation is complete.

    8.) Assist in retrieving all necessary prior paperwork.

    9.) Help obtain all relevant prior examinations.

    10.) Confirm that prior examinations are accessible on the designated workstation.

    11.) Support with data entry tasks for the technologist.

    12.) Assist in cleaning and restocking examination rooms.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. CPR certification is mandatory.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be capable of assisting patients with mobility challenges and able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

    INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:

    Frequent interactions with all customer groups, including patients, families, referring community, and SHC employees.
