Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist Residential to join our team at Waste Management. As an Operations Specialist, you will provide clerical and administrative support to departmental managers and assist in coordinating all aspects of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Create, distribute, and close-out customer tickets on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and distribute department-related information on a daily basis.
  • Communicate with other supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.
  • Complete and maintain various reports as directed by the department manager.
  • Use software tools to manage tasks such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
  • Assist with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
  • Communicate with customers about service issues as needed.
  • Communicate with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • No prior work experience required
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to use motor coordination with finger dexterity, such as keyboarding and machine operation, for most of the workday. The normal setting for this job is an office setting and/or landfill.
