Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at KinderCare Education in Grand Rapids. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and hearts of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Implementation: Implement KinderCare's research-backed curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Parent Partnerships: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in their child's education.
  • Center Success: Support the center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Community Building: Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Qualifications
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Certifications: Hold CPR and First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain.
  • State Qualifications: Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: Hold an Active CDA Credential or be willing to obtain.
  • Physical Abilities: Be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Communication Skills: Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
