Mission

The Sales Development Representative at Smartcat is tasked with engaging, connecting, and qualifying inbound prospects, as well as researching, identifying, and qualifying outbound prospects.

This role supports two sales teams (strategic and velocity) in expanding the pipeline in both value and account numbers. While a detailed understanding of Smartcat products is not mandatory, a strong interest in SaaS software and the localization industry is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Engage, connect, and qualify inbound Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
  • Utilize an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approach to book demos and prospect strategic business accounts through cold calls, emails, and social strategies.
  • Maintain a consistent outbound calling effort of over 100 calls daily.
  • Drive sales growth and pipeline by setting up qualified, high-value meetings for Account Executives.
  • Document detailed notes on qualified prospects and ensure the CRM is updated.
  • Develop creative strategies to target decision-makers at prospect accounts to secure sales appointments and influence revenue.
  • Own lead generation within assigned verticals, qualifying prospects based on pain points, budget, decision-making ability, and product fit.
  • Actively learn about the business challenges and personal pains faced by prospects, using this knowledge to create emotional connections aligned with the Smartcat platform.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Revenue Operations to refine the target audience and identify new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, providing feedback on customer needs, challenges, buying processes, and priorities.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar role within B2B SaaS organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably HubSpot.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
  • Experience with Sandler sales training or the Sandler sales methodology is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • A strong drive for business growth and a high tolerance for uncertainty and risk.
