Position Summary:
The Electronics Assembly Technician II is responsible for assembling and modifying electronic components, subassemblies, and systems by adhering to specific instructions. This role also involves mentoring less experienced assemblers, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures, and specifications for PCB manufacturing.
  • Identify workmanship and material defects visually in touch-up and assembly areas, suggesting basic changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Execute tasks with meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, and modules using samples, visual aids, wiring lists, and process sheets.
  • Maintain accurate material control within the designated work area.
  • Conduct inspections of personal work within the immediate working unit.
  • Provide timely feedback to operations, management, and support engineering as necessary.
  • Adhere to and maintain accurate process documentation.
  • Assemble PCBs of intermediate complexity.
  • Utilize various tools to perform assembly tasks.
  • Act as a mentor to less skilled employees.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hardware or simple optics assembly activities.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and associated devices for PCB and electronic assembly manufacturing.
  • Able to learn and master all assigned PCB assembly tasks.
  • Capable of identifying electronic components and recognizing solder non-conformance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals used in the PCB manufacturing process.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and a readiness to cross-train in other areas.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities.
