Electronics Quality Assurance Specialist

Benchmark Electronics is seeking a skilled Production Inspector II to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our electronic products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of printed circuit boards, systems, and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Work from detailed process sheets, visual aid packages, engineering change orders, and other relevant written instructions to ensure accurate and efficient inspection processes.
- Inspect components, soldering, markings, and other quality requirements related to various manufacturing technologies.
- Verify placement, polarity, and labels on circuit boards and use defect code lists to identify defects and route boards to rework/repair facilities.
- Perform minimal rework/repair duties as necessary and complete necessary routing tasks per procedure.
- Enter board and/or systems quantities into the ERP system and input data into PFS.
- Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, management, and support engineering as appropriate.
- Follow and maintain accurate process documentation and recommend improvements.
- Comply with and follow all company policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in basic electronics manufacturing.
- May perform one or more of the following: PIR, WPI, FPI, AOI.
- 2+ years of advanced electronics inspection (i.e. AOI).
- Ability to work with and train diverse groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Effective organization and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
- Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
- Strong customer service and client focus.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software.
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Accepting of opportunities to train on new equipment and to cross-train into other site operations, as needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
