About the Team

The Selling Partner Communities and Satisfaction (SPCS) team is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with our Selling Partners. We aim to enhance their success and ensure that the public perception aligns with the reality that Amazon's platforms are optimal for our Selling Partners to cultivate and sustain successful businesses.

Role Overview

We are in search of a talented, experienced, and driven software engineer to join our collaborative team, which includes software engineers, product managers, UX designers, and data engineers. Your mission will be to help realize our vision of creating integrated and scalable solutions for the Communities domain, as we transform the experience for Selling Partners across various platforms, including Forums, News, and Satisfaction, all of which serve millions of Selling Partners.

Given the early stage of this initiative, the ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for innovation and creativity, focusing on customer needs and addressing complex, ambiguous challenges. You will be responsible for designing and developing systems that are scalable, adaptable, and efficient, maximizing customer impact while minimizing engineering overhead and operational burdens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to establishing best practices for software development.
  • Work closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and fellow Software Development Engineers to deliver high-quality products.
  • Engage in planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process enhancement as part of an autonomous team.
  • Take charge of technical problem-solving, creatively achieving product objectives, and developing best practices.
  • Produce high-quality, efficient, and testable code.
  • Mentor and facilitate the professional growth of other developers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience in the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
