You will collaborate with a geographically distributed, cross-functional team of over 20 engineers, designing and developing solutions for complex challenges with significant business implications.

Your Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with colleagues, leaders, and partners across various functions and business units to devise technological solutions for business challenges.


• Lead a community of engineers and foster team development.


• Oversee the complete product lifecycle for large-scale projects: design, development, testing, deployment, and ensuring operational excellence and support.


• Advocate for industry standards in development methodologies, techniques, and technologies.


• Share domain expertise and industry knowledge across multi-functional teams.


• Research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns.


• Mentor and guide junior team members.


• Promote operational excellence, including unit testing, establishing SLAs, and programming for resilience and scalability.


• Employ a holistic approach to analyze issues and implement comprehensive solutions by ensuring connections between structure, people, processes, and technology are established.


• Anticipate and mitigate potential problems and obstacles before they arise, reporting on the status of challenging or critical projects to leadership.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience.


• Over 10 years of experience in a Software Development Engineer or similar capacity.


• Full-stack engineering expertise with advanced proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or a comparable language.


• Experience with front-end technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJS, AngularJS, or similar frameworks.


• Familiarity with GraphQL or a comparable strongly typed language.


• Demonstrated understanding of cloud services.


• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.


• Proven experience leading cross-functional large-scale projects.


• Experience mentoring and developing other software engineers.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.


• Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practices and version control tools such as Git.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
