Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic financial firm as a seasoned Permanent Benefits Administrator. As a key member of the HR team, you will play a critical role in administering employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Administer various employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment of employees in optional plans.
  • Conduct new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  • Resolve employee complaints related to health and welfare plans, referring difficult or very complex complaints to manager as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
  • Provide administrative support for the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and assisting with onboarding new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing, handling enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintaining group benefits database and updating employee payroll records.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and HR practices.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and HRIS systems.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
